Abstract

Pedagogy is not an autonomous science, independent in terms of cognitive theory and methodology from other sciences. Both the subject – man, the method – a specific way of explaining and justifying key statements, and the goal – the fullness of a person’s personal life, are not formulated without a philosophical, especially anthropological reference. Each of the existing pedagogical concepts naturally assumes a specific vision of the world and man, which remains beyond the competence of pedagogy. Pedagogy only assumes it, makes it a starting point for further discourse in the area of its research. It follows that pedagogy is not an autonomous science in relation to philosophy. Therefore, the educator must be aware of what kind of philosophy it is and whether it meets the criteria of rationality and reasonableness of scientific discourse. In the face of the contemporary confusion of thinking about man, referred to as the “anthropological error,” especially when confronted with the dynamically spreading ideology of the so-called multiculturalism proclaiming the equality of different anthropologies and different theories of education, there is an urgent need to recall and critically rebuild the tradition of personalistic pedagogy. Upbringing should be anchored in ethics as a theory of morality and understood as the actualization of human potential in the perspective of “being-for-others.”

Abstract

The paper presents an attempt at building an optimum rnathematical model making it possible to prognose the values of missing geodetic surveys of a non-stationary dislocations process within the area of underground exploitation influence. It has been shown thai the analysed process can be assigned 10 the group of stochastic processes. A model (IO) has been determined as the formal definition of the discussed problem, whereas two algorithmic procedures appear to be the real solution. Utility aspect of the paper comprises the modelling of the formation process of actual dislocations. Estimated values of one-stage prognosis are shown in table I and in Fig. 4. Model quality indicator - error distribution - appears to be the confirmation that a quantitative description is adequate to the survey results. It has been shown from the point of view of descriptive statistics, using correlation coefficient, that the results of the dislocations survey of the field points - significantly distant included - are highly correlated.

Abstract

Spline functior.s play an important role in many technical applications. The paper presents some potential possibilities of their application in adjustment of railway tracks as a versatile tool of track axis approximation. Methods of determination of cubic interpolating and approximating splines are presented in detail. Splines are easily determined and they have satisfactory co□ verge□ce to the desired curve.

Abstract

The place of the history of historiography in Topolski’s comprehensive oeuvre has not been subjected to a holistic analysis yet. I will try to highlight some of the key topics rather than propose an exhaustive interpretation of them The article concentrates on the analysis of both the notion of historiography itself, as well as interpretation the main historiographic work of the Poznan historian.

Abstract

The approach to numerical analyses was changed by the introduction of Eurocodes . The EN 1993-1-6 standard allows taking into account imperfections on the shape of a buckling form from a linear elastic bifurcation analysis. The article analyses the first ten forms of imperfection from a linear elastic bifurcation analysis on the reduction of the capacity of a cylindrical shell. Calculations were made using finite element methods.
