Abstract

Coke oven gas (COG) dome injection in COREX melter gasifier is recognized as one of effective method to reduce the amount of solid fuel used for gasification. In this work, a static model was developed to study the characteristics when COG is injected from dome. The critical bosh gas and critical fuel rate in COREX melter gasifier under different melting rate and coke rate were discussed. The amount of COG injection from dome under the critical fuel rates was studied. The results shows that when the heat of bosh gas reaching the critical value, the decrement of fuel rate decreases with the increase of melting rate and increases with the increase of coke rate. Under the critical fuel rate, the total volume of COG increases with the increase of melting rate and coke rate. After the COG injection, the amount and reduction capacity of the generator gas can meet the needs of reduction in shaft furnace. The findings of this work can be used as a theoretical basis to guide plant operations for COG injection.

Abstract

The paper reports on the barrier mid-wave infrared InAs/InAsSb (xSb = 0.4) type-II superlattice detector operating below thermoelectrical cooling. AlAsSb with Sb composition, xSb = 0.97; barrier doping, ND < 2×1016 cm−3 leading to valence band offset below 100 meV in relation to the active layer doping, ND = 5×1015 cm−3 was proved to be proper material not introducing extra barrier in valence band in the analyzed temperature range in XBn architectures. The detectivity of the simulated structure was assessed at the level of ∼ 1011 Jones at T ∼ 100 K assuming absorber thickness, d = 3 μm. The detector’s architecture for high frequency response operation, τs = 420 ps (T ∼ 77 K) was presented with a reduced active layer of d = 1 μm.

Abstract

This paper describes the method of prospective magnetic research under natural conditions of strong interference by the external variable magnetic field. This method of synchronized measurements, when some given assumptions are satisfied, permits magnetic survey of the accuracy 1-2 nT to be carried out. It was used in detailed investigations of weak anomalous fields.
