Abstract

The model predictive current control (MPCC) of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is highly dependent on motor parameters, and a parameter mismatch will cause the system performance degradation. Therefore, a strategy based on an internal model control (IMC) observer is proposed to correct the mismatch parameters. Firstly, based on the MPCC strategy of the PMSM, according to the dynamic model of the PMSM in a rotating orthogonal coordinate system, d-axis and q-axis current IMC observers are designed, and the stability derivation is carried out. It is proved that the observer can estimate d-axis and q-axis disturbance components caused by a parameter mismatch without static error. Then, the estimated disturbance component is compensated for by the reference voltage prediction expression. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified in two different conditions. The experimental results show that the proposed control strategy can effectively compensate for the parameter mismatch disturbance in MPCC for PMSM, improve the dynamic and static performance of the system, and improve the robustness of the system.

Abstract

Despite the progress in digitization of civil engineering, the process of bridge inspection is still outdated. In most cases, its documentation consists of notes, sketches and photos. This results in significant data loss during structure maintenance and can even lead to critical failures. As a solution to this problem, many researchers see the use of modern technologies that are gaining popularity in civil engineering. Namely Building Information Modelling (BIM), 3D reconstruction and Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, despite their work, no particular solution was implemented. In this article, we evaluated the applicability of state-of-the-art methods based on a case study. We have considered each step starting from data acquisition and ending on BIM model enrichment. Additionally, the comparison of deep learning crack semantic segmentation algorithm with human inspector was performed. Authors believe that this kind of work is crucial for further advancements in the field of bridge maintenance.

Abstract

The article presents a dynamic analysis of the sorting process of load units transported on conveyor belts. The process is realized by means of an active fence with one freedom degree. During analytic research the manipulated loads were treated as undeformable bodies, or in the case of load impact against the fence as the bodies with nonlinear springy-damping properties. A flexible element, described by Kelvin linear model, was used in the drive of the fence of a rotatably fixed beam. Appropriate choice of construction parameters makes it possible to mitigate the dynamic interactions of the sorted loads.
