Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of position and speed estimation methods in SRM (Switched Reluctance Motor) drive equipped with hysteresis band current controller with MRAS (Model Reference Adaptive System) type observer. An adaptive flux model uses equation set of one-dimensional equations instead of one two-dimensional equation. The reference model is the formal one. Instead of measured current the observer utilizes reference current. Such drive system works well at speed range up to 600 rad/s. The observer's gains must change depend on the speed range. The robustness on motor parameter poor estimation is presented.

Abstract

The main objective of this work was to present a successful stabilization action of a building structure in an active landslide. Firstly, history of the case and a FEM simulation explaining ensuing situation are presented. Then different structural measures to stabilize the whole system are discussed. The structural solution of the problem (pile system reaching solid rocky zone) is presented in more detailed way. The estimation of forces acting on the structure, caused by an unstable soil mass, being crucial for the design of stabilizing structure is described.

Abstract

This article presents various definitions as well as the object and the method ofspiritual theology in the concept of post Vatican Council II. Referring to Western literature the author manifests various efforts in his attempt to define the essence of spiritual theology propagated by Polish theologians from the time of Vatican Council II. Therefore, it is a kind of synthesis of Polish thought portraying various kinds of concepts in the defining of spiritual theology. This article also shows the unique Polish method in the way of proceeding researchin the field of theoretical and experiential mysticism. The author also refers to the spirituality of the religious and to various aspects of the history of Polish spirituality.

Abstract

This topic of the research was basically not undertaken yet in the theological literature. St. Faustina offers a definition of sanctity and shows its development till the point of achieving a mystical union. It is mystical sanctity, therefore, which ultimate norm is the unity with Jesus. In this line, Faustina trusts that God’s Mercy will make her holy. In this context we can understand that it was merciful holiness expressed by receiving mercy and rejecting sin. Christ is introducing her in the Mystery of His Passion. Pasha of the sanctity which is achieved by the Christian through the bond with Jesus, causes diving in His death and vocation to life in His resurrection. Therefore, it is a paschal sanctity. According to that, the paschal Mystery makes up the center of the mystical life of St. Faustina. This results that she puts heavy accent on this mystical union with Christ’s suffering, with His death on the Cross. She discovers her calling to sanctity under the influence of Pasha as a call to become a holistic victim offered to God. This work of sanctity we can call the Mystic of the merciful sanctity. And Faustina writes about this too, and not only about the Mercy.

Abstract

City parks play a very important role in an urbanized landscape. They are forms of specially designed green space which combine elements of horticulture with architecture, history and culture. The article presents historical urban parks and old residential-park complexes included in the boundaries of Poznań and currently existing in the wedge-ring system of the urban green space. The aim of the conducted research was to show their historical and current function as well as their general state of preservation and condition. The results are presented in the form of a Table where the historical significance of those objects is compared with their role today.

Abstract

The main objective of this work is to present an innovative method of numerical modeling of anchored piles system acting as a road protection against landslide, called the “2D/3D method”. Firstly, short description of the problem and “state of the art” review are included. An effective methodology of the design supported by the numerical analysis, solving the problem of interaction of a periodic system of piles and the unstable soil mass is presented, for which some detailed information about proposed numerical approach is given. The key idea of 2D/3D method is to join the pile with the 2D plane strain continuum by fictitious connectors of Winkler type with P-Y properties identified during the analysis of a subsidiary 3D problem. Practical example of usage of proposed approach to a real case of a road endangered by a landslide then protected by the piles system is presented. On the base of this example, a discussion about important design issues like internal forces in piles (mainly bending moments) and anchors (tensile forces) or overall stability of the soil-structure system is done.

Abstract

This article presents results of the numerical analysis of the interaction between heavy caterpillar tracks system and subsoil. The main goal of the article is to present an algorithm to design working platforms - temporary structures enabling the work of heavy construction equipment on weak subsoils. A semi-analytical method is based on the results of the numerical analysis performed with use of the finite element method (FE software ZSoil.PC [12]). The calculations were carried out for the piling rig machine - Bauer BH20H (BT60). Three ground models were adopted: Model 1: one layer - weak cohesive soil (clay); Model 2: two layers: weak cohesive soil (clay) and cohesionless working platform (medium sand); Model 3: one layer: strong cohesionless subsoil (medium sand). The following problems were solved: I) entry of the machine on the ground with various geotechnical parameters under each caterpillar tracks II) detection of the maximum permissible angle of ground slope.

Abstract

The article presents problems related with designing public space, i.e. recreational areas and park green space in the context of existing fortifications with a case study of the town of Darłowo. It shows examples of the development of historical areas of ground fortifications as part of the project ‘A Plan of Development of the Park Behind the Marine School in Darłowo’. The article also discusses selected issues related with the composition, spatial functionality, landscape and execution of the plan, included in the park design documentation. It presents the results of design work, which was used to prepare complex technical documentation. This study includes the arrangements thatcan be used to make a town park with scenic values which will be similar a natural scenery.
