Abstract

The calculation results of the static field parameters for permanent magnet linear synchronous motor have been presented in this work. The influence of the construction temperature on the parameters has been analyzed mathematically. Models for magnetic and temperature fields determination have been formulated. Two kinds of permanent magnets (NdFeB and SmCo) have been considered. The distribution of the thermal field has been obtained using the finite element method (FEM).

Abstract

A method for modeling of the dynamics characteristics for a 5-phase permanent magnet tubular linear motor (PMTLM) is presented. Its electromagnetic nonlinear field analysis with finite element method (FEM) has been coupled with the circuit model. The calculation model includes the equations for electrical circuits and mechanical quantities as well. They have been obtained using Lagrange's method. The calculated and measured waves of the mover position have been compared for several values of the excitation current. This comparison yields a good agreement. Presented calculation model is very useful in designing and optimization of the PMTLM and in the calculation of the parameters for the control algorithms intended for such a type of actuators.

Abstract

The transient thermal model of the permanent magnet linear actuator (PMLA) has been considered. The characteristics of heating have been calculated including the main subdomains of the actuator. The carcasses from various materials have also been considered. The calculations have been verified experimentally and a good conformity was obtained.

Abstract

The investigation of a decentralized radio network dedicated to unmanned aerial systems (UASs) was presented in the paper. Two frequencies (315 MHz; 434 MHz) and five different configurations of Gaussian frequency-shift keying (GFSK) were taken into account. Three different algorithms for decentralized networks were investigated and their influence on the network capacity was measured. The research was done both for static and dynamically changed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) positions. In order to quantify the research three different parameters were determined: RSSI, nP (number of data packets in one second), and f (frequency of data update).

Abstract

Dynamic characteristics for three types of railgun constructions were simulated and measured in this work. The simplest construction is the iron-less (IL) railgun, while the two other ones (IC and ICPM) have an iron-core. The iron-core permanent magnet (ICPM) railgun additionally has permanent magnets. To compare their characteristics, similar dimensions of the rails and iron cores were adopted, and the same power supply system was used. Numerical magnetic field analyses and our analytical models have been used to determine the electromagnetic parameters. They were verified experimentally. The transient states of the railguns were studied with our field-circuit mathematical model, and their results were also verified by experiments.
