 abstract={The works of the great Italian poets, Ugo Foscolo and Giacomo Leopardi, from the beginning of the 20th century until the Second World War often appear in articles by Polish literary critics, and their works are also translated. What is surprising is the fact that Polish researchers (especially A. Snowacki and the Austrian Polish philologist Otto Forst de Battaglia) push for the politicization of both poets, focusing on patriotic aspects and political involvement greater than was the case. Especially in the case of Leopardi, we can talk about a “happy” period of reception his works despite the specific way of commenting on them.},
