 abstract={In the grammars of the Spanish language intended for Italian speakers and published during the first two thirds of the twentieth century, it has been observed that various authors translate the grammatical terminology used in the description of the linguistic phenomena they present. The fact of translating metalanguage raises several questions of interest; therefore, on the basis of a corpus of eight grammars, the extent of terminological translation will be determined. The ultimate aim of the present study is to assess the need, usefulness or convenience of translating grammatical terms in order to facilitate or hinder language teaching and learning.},
