 abstract={The purpose of this article is to investigate the problematic aspects of standardization of energy management systems in Russian enterprises. The main characteristics of energy management, existing standards in the field of energy management are given. To study the best practices and the effectiveness of the implementation of the energy management system in 2017, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, with the participation of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Russian Energy Agency” the Ministry of Energy of Russia, carried out the monitoring of energy efficiency management and the implementation of energy management systems in the practice of Russian companies. The peculiarity of the introduction of energy management systems in the practice of managing Russian enterprises has been identified, which consists in the fact that it occurs based on the already implemented quality management system, environmental management, labor protection, when a lot of work has been done (document management, internal audit system, corrective actions, training, provisions providing feedback and the possibility of submitting proposals, etc.). Like any quality management system, the successful implementation of this standard depends on the involvement of all levels and functions of the organization’s management in this process, and especially on top management.},
