 abstract={The paper considers the application feasibility of the category of disembodied proper names (as introduced by A. Gardiner) in the context of embodied proper names regarded as a feature of the language‑cultural description of Ukrainian eponyms. Drawing on eponyms found in Leksykon lʹvivsʹkyy, the author elucidates both advantages of this application and problems it involves, and argues for the typology of disembodied name semantic shifts within a unified theory of deonomastic formation of lexical and phraseological items.},
