 abstract={The paper is devoted to the subject of the witch trials in the region of Kleczew in the 1680’s and 1690’s. By focusing on the specific trial in the village of Wąsosze in 1688, the author analyses the problem of the peasant’s mobility in 16‑18th century Poland, and shows an examples of the interpretation dilemmas that a historian may encounter when dealing with the subject of Polish witch trials. In the paper, one can also find basic information about the great witch‑hunt inspired by Wojciech Breza between 1688 and 1691, which was one of the biggest (if not the biggest) Polish witch‑hunt known today.},
