 abstract={The paper presents the genealogy of the concept of heritage in Polish. Adopting the Koselleck approach, it aims to bring the two paths of conceptual history methodology together: a sema-siological analysis of the term's various meanings and the onomasiological study of different words designating the same concept within one semantic field. The text argues that heritage belongs to those concepts that existed since the "saddle‑time"; however, until the second half of the 20th century, without one word denoting it.},
