This article explains and analyses the role of each of the historical and fictional characters (Don Quixote and Sancho Pansa, Joan d’Arc, the French kings and Napoleon) in the mythical structure of the poem and, last not least, addresses the issue of representing historical processes, politics and politicians in poetry.}, type={Artykuł}, title={The disenchanted hero: The poem ‘Z La Manczy’ by Jan Lechoń}, URL={http://journals.pan.pl/Content/127070/PDF/2022-05-RL-10.pdf}, doi={10.24425/rl.2022.142997}, keywords={Polish literature of the 20th century, Jan Lechoń (1899–1956), politics and politicians in poetry, Don Quixote, Charles de Gaulle (1890–1970), French history, Joan of Arc, Napoleon}, }
