Aims and scope

„Kwartalnik Neofilologiczny” – jest recenzowanym czasopismem naukowym, publikowanym od 1954 roku. Jest najstarszym czasopismem reprezentującym w międzynarodowym obiegu naukowym polską neofilologię, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem polskiej anglistyki, germanistyki, romanistyki oraz italianistyki.

Od 1975 roku nieprzerwanie, Redaktorem Naczelnym czasopisma jest Prof. dr hab. dr h.c. mult. Franciszek Grucza.

„Kwartalnik Neofilologiczny” wydawany jest w formie papierowej, a od 2011 roku dostępny jest również w formie elektronicznej. Forma papierowa i elektroniczna ukazuje się w tym samym czasie. Wszystkie archiwalne numery od roku 2011 dostępne są na stronie Czasopisma PAN.

W „Kwartalniku Neofilologicznym” publikowane są artykuły napisane w językach kongresowych takich jak: angielski, niemiecki, francuski, włoski, hiszpański – prace wyłącznie oryginalne, prezentujące najnowsze osiągnięcia naukowe ich autorów. Poza artykułami zamieszczane są również recenzje książek oraz innych publikacji naukowych.

Zadaniem "Kwartalnika Neofilologicznego" jest upowszechnianie tych osiągnięć i promowanie ich autorów w kraju, a przede wszystkim w międzynarodowym środowisku naukowym.

Czasopismo charakteryzuje różnorodność podejmowanych tematów z zakresu literaturoznawstwa i kulturoznawstwa oraz zagadnień językoznawczych i glottodydaktycznych. Poprzez tak szeroki wachlarz dyscyplin naukowych „Kwartalnik Neofilologiczny” adresowany jest do filologów z kręgu akademickiego z całego świata, a także do studentów i doktorantów kierunków humanistycznych.
