The Polish Journal of Veterinary Sciences is an open-access peer-reviewed journal (http://pjvsci.uwm.edu.pl/). It was established in 1998 and has been published continuously as a quarterly since then.
The Journal is aimed at publishing high-quality research (original and short communication) and review articles from the wide field of veterinary medicine. English-language articles from a variety of areas are welcome.
The following topics are particularly encouraged: new knowledge on the pathophysiology of animal diseases; new knowledge on animal disease therapy, therapeutics and prevention; new knowledge on animal-associated public health issues.
The Journal is indexed by Thomson Scientific (BIOSIS/Biological Records, Biotechnology Citation Index®, Current Contents®/Biology, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Science Citation Index® Expanded), Index Copernicus, the National Library of Medicine (PubMed/ MEDLINE®) and the Polish Scientific Journal Contents.
The Journal is owned in equal parts by the Polish Academy of Sciences Committee of Veterinary Sciences and by the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
Submissions are evaluated by reviewers using the single-blind peer review process. The policy of the journal is to accept articles only after a positive peer review.
